This is a centuries-old traditional pattern called Gel-git. Translated from Turkish, Gel-git means "go and come" which perfectly describes the movement of the marbling tool in the tank to create this pattern.

This piece is marbled on pine panel sourced from sustainable forests. A light acrylic spray finish has been added. The edges are finished with acrylic paint in Carbon Black.
